Back to School Wellness Day
The Philippine Nurses Association of South Florida (PNASF) joined Florida State Representative Yolly Roberson in her "Back to School Wellness Day" project at Miami Dade College North Campus on August 7, 2010. The project was aimed at helping residents in the community prepare their children for the 2010-2011 school year. The event gathered corporate sponsors and NGOs that offer some help to both children and adults in the form of giving free pre-school immunizations and eye and dental exams for all qualified children, insurance and grant information, school supplies and book bags, and other wellness information.
Representatives from PNASF led by its President Josephine Villanueva and PNASF Advisory Council Member Nena Forte were there to take blood pressure and glucose count and share health information to the families.

The Philippine Nurses Association of South Florida (PNASF) led by its President Josephine Villlanueva and Advisory Council Members Rick Garcia and Dr. Daisy Ciocon joined the Philippine Basketball Association in South Florida President Rey Lazaro in the ongoing basketball competition dubbed as "The Nurse's Cup." One of PBA's special guest is Miami Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra. |

Dear PNASF Colleagues,
We would like to thank the services of the PNASF Executive Board 2008-2010 whose term has expired. The new interim PNASF Executive Board 2010-2012 has started their term immediately until their successors are elected.
We would like to welcome, Ms. Nena Forte, as the appointed NOMELEC Chair by the PNASF President and approved by the interim Executive Board 2010-2012. There will be an open nominating process and secured & sealed ballot for the coming election.
